Hi All,
I have a data file which has mixed formats (part in ascii and part
bin). The file structure is like this:

ascii - Couple of lines of header, followed by a (variable) # of
lines. This ascii part (header + bunch of lines) ends with ^Z (dos
EOF).

bin - Then the binary part follows, which has data.

My concern is about finding the dos EOF. What is the best way to
tackle this situation? i.e., read the headers and then search each
lines after the header for the ^Z? Do a 'strmatch' (hex/ascii?)?
Reading the binary part should be OK. Any pointers?
Thanks in advance,
/rk
