dear all,

i had developed a package for 3Dflythru using IDL6.3 with the help of
Rick suggestions and continuous help from David Thanks a lot for both
of them............

now, i wud like extrude some features like buildings shopping malls
that are available in the data so that the user can feel a virtual
terrain.............

i had taken the roi of all the buildings in a shape file please let me
know how to give the z value to my shape file so that i can have a 3d
buildings in my flythru...........

Look at the docs for MESH_OBJ. You can easily create extrusions from
your 2d outlines.
