Hello,

Does anybody out there know of a book that is easy to use and teaches
basics of idl usage. I don't want to become an expert idl user, I just want
a lot of examples I can taylor to my needs. I also settle for a book
that goes into all the details but is still easy to understand without
being an idl expert. Anyway, I just need a good book to learn the program.

If you know anything, please send me some e-mail.

greetings

Hans

You should try to obtain the book "Learning IDL" which is put out by Research Systems, Inc. This book is used in their training cou=
rses and is a great way to learn how to use IDL interactively and even some programming. I think that you can purchase it from them=
by contacting them at:

I hope this helps.
