Hi all!

I am wondering if I could install a framegrabber card in my 486 lab PC running IDL (v 3.6 at the moment) and take the video output from my lab equipment directly from the framegrabber and into IDL (no saving to disc inbetween). I'm not an image person, so I can't tell from the IDL documentation what IDL needs, and I wouldn't know what to look for in framegrabber cards.

Does it simplify things that I only need b&w?

I would appreciate to hear from anyone with experience on these topics via email to kpr@ffi.no
