I think that this very annoying problem is crying out for a combined
effort to solve it.

I see two directions:

1.
Have a project which is centered around the architecture of the
standard library and Boost
(http://www.language-binding.net/pyplusplus/pyplusplus.html)

2.
Have a project which is more generic and centered on the C interface.
(http://www.swig.org/)

I only have a very vague understanding of either project. However,
both use GCC-XML.
