I've been running IDL on various Windows servers (2003 standard & R2,
enterprise and x64) for the past few years. Other than the fact that I
could never get DataMiner to work with the 64-bit version (apparently
the bundled ODBC drivers are 32-bit only), I've been happy with it.
The IDL 7 preview also worked ok.
