Hi,
I installed the new version of IDL on my pc to have a look at the DE.
I did notice on Windows XP the application chews up large amount of
memory.
IDL 6.4 running the DE takes up about 11MB, whereas IDL 7.0 chews
about 90MB, plus about 30MB for java.
Given I have limited memory resources and often need to load large
data sets, I'm wondering if there is a way to reduce the overhead. Or
should I just stick to 6.4?
