I have an application which creates a bunch of displays, uses tvread to read back
the displays, and then uses movie to display them. The following happens:

1. on a HP 9000/730 CRX the display is adequate
2. on a Mac using Mac X the display is slow
3. on a NCD 17cr it is really slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem seems to be that on the NCD, the tvread takes for ever. Does
anyone have a clue.
