Hi, allweise IDL gurus
I have a possibly minor problem with the IDL JavaBridge. I am trying
to call functions from a Java library (http://www.loci.wisc.edu/ome/
formats.html) containing a whole bunch of readers for different mostly
microscopy related image/volume file formats. This works partially,
still not well tested.
My problem is now that the access (object creation)
m=obj_new("idljavaobject$bio-
formats_loci_formats","loci.formats.ImageReader")
is only successful under the IDL Workbench, not under idl 7.0 in a
terminal (!), not in idl 6.4 and earlier versions.
The message is
% ERR -ReflObject::doesClassExist LinkageError:loci/formats/
ImageReader
(Unsupported major.minor version 48.0)
% java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: loci/formats/ImageReader
(Unsupported major.minor version 48.0)
Is there any knowledge about the IDL Java related settings? I prefer
idlwave emacs not only since my powerbook is completely occupied with
housekeeping under the workbench !

Regards
Karsten
