zh "works" for me (i.e. it displays something that I can believe is
Chinese).

Ah, good, thanks. The ZH is trying, but perhaps I just don't have
the right fonts installed on my system. I'll make and post a list
so we don't all have to search for this information again.
Cheers,

I don't yet have IDL 7.0, but I suspect ISO 639 might be a good place
to start.
Until there's confirmation from IITVIS, I'd suggest trying these:

Ah, ha! While poking around the ITTVIS web page looking
for the CVS plug-in, I found a list of languages supported
by the IDL Workbench. I've put the two-letter
abbreviation you are suppose to use to access these
languages next to the ones I have been able to figure
out so far.
Chinese (Traditional & Simplified)
Dutch
English (en)
French (fr)
German
Italian (it)
Japanese (ja)
Korean
Portuguese
Russian
Spanish (es)
Anyone what to help fill out the rest of the language?
Cheers,
David

The documentation begs the question: which languages does
the IDL Workbench support? I can get my Workbench to
speak French, but not Spanish. If I could combine a
Spanish language version of IDL with my new Andrea Bocelli
CD, singing in Spanish, I could *really* learn this language!
Cheers,
