Folks,

I'm preparing a lecture on map projections and I am disappointed
to report that the problem with GCTP projections, illustrated
here:

http://www.dfanning.com/map_tips/gctp.html

and first reported in IDL 6.3, persists into IDL 7. If
you are using more than one map projection, and you are
setting up your projection space with MAP_PROJ_INIT, be
*sure* you call MAP_PROJ_INIT just before you convert
your data with MAP_PROJ_FORWARD or MAP_PROJ_INVERSE
or you could be surprised by the results.

Cheers,

David

P.S. Sorry about the P's. I got carried away. :-)
