Hi Norbert

Thanks for your advice. I just tried the following:

entry_device = !d.name
set_plot, 'PS'
device, decomposed=0, /color, /landscape, font_size=12,
filename='FullScatterPlot' + STRTRIM(N, 1) + 'runs.ps'
loadcolours
!P.Multi=0
plot......
=====

And received the following error message: % Keyword DECOMPOSED not
allowed in call to: DEVICE (which is the same one as I get
intermittendly). If it's any help, I'm running IDLDE on Mac OS X
10.4.11.
