Hi, all. I knew there are some issues to install old version IDL on
MacBook Pro.

This is what I got:

% X windows protocol error: BadRequest (invalid request code or no
such
operation).
Installation number: 001.

But I still could run my codes and get results. I have not explored a
lot but it seemed to me IDL works just fine. It is just a little
annoying to see this error message. However I do worry that how
reliable about these results. Please let me know if there might be
some potential problems. Thanks.
