According to the IDL's documentation for call_external under DEC
Alpha/OSF1 the entry point into shared object files created have no
leading or trailing underscores. I have found (using the nm
myfile.so) that this is true for C, but not for FORTRAN! FORTRAN
entry points have a trailing underscore.

Has anyone else noticed this?
