I wish they would just get rid of that *%@ run button!!

I hate to tell you this, but that good-for-nothing run
button only runs main-level programs and procedures that
take no arguments. That is to say, an *extremely*
small fraction of the IDL programs you plan to use. :-(

Try going to the IDL command line and typing this:

IDL> answer = TextBox()
