David,
One of the cool new features of the IDL 7.0 workbench is that the help
system
has an integrated feature to automagically send Doug and his group comments
via e-mail about particular help pages.

Open up the help on any topic and notice the "Send us a comment on this
topic" link at the bottom of the page.

I've been known to use this even though I could just walk a few steps and
talk to Doug directly. This speaks both to the feature's ease of use and my
own lack of social skills.
