Spurred by a request for some examples of how to use the iTools,
I have been trying to get some of my software organized into a
library for public distribution.
If you are interested, you can go here
http://idl.tamu.edu/Downloads.html
to see what is in the library and download it.
Current contents:
24-bit color routines
a 24-bit color table for topography and bathymetry
some iTools examples and utilities
land-ocean mask data and access routines
miscellaneous things needed for other routines
some netCDF examples and utilities
date and time programs with ISO 8601 input and output
topographic data and access routines
I don't claim to be an iTools expert by any means, but there
are a few nifty routines in the itools directory, including
programs to spin a 3-D graphic and capture movie frames, and
a procedure to capture the current iTool graphic in a number
of different graphic file formats.
I expect that I have managed to include the usual assortment
of glitches and bugs, so let me know if you have problems, and
go easy on me.
Cheers, Ken Bowman
