No, but don't send me anything without a model release!!
After Coyote's last lady friend took us to the cleaners,
I have no money left for any more court battles. :-(

That looks photoshopped indeed. You should demand some sort of
authenticy I think... like a recent newspaper with date or something
hehe; isn't that also what hostage takers do? Hehe...being kidnapped and
having to pose with an IDL book for evidence of being alive haha...

Sorry, I'm heading off-topic. I, for the record, already have found some
volunteers willing to pose with your book ;) Now we only have to get a
copy of it first..

By the way, the accompanying e-mail claims that Bridget,
after reading the book, is now an, uh, accomplished IDL
programmer and has improved department morale tremendously
with her "programming" contributions.

Yes, use a better camera, but don't even consider Photoshop.
This picture, sent in yesterday by someone who wishes to
remain anonymous, of a young lady and one of my books
(in coffee-table size!?), looks suspicious to me. Wasn't
that dress popular in the 1970s? The book is old, but I
don't think it's *that* old.

Well actually when I saw you linked to my story, I felt ashame not to be
on the picture with your books. So indeed, I'm going to get your books

The picture I sent you was taken with a lousy phone-camera, but I would
definately consider using a better camera when the subject gets more
interesting ;-)

I'm concerned only with the reproductive quality of the
images, of course. God knows what Coyote means. But as
he will be handling production details, I recommend you
print the photos on the heaviest photo paper you have
available.

Do you mean the quality of the image, the quality of the
subject, or both.

Folks,

Coyote thinks we are going to be overwhelmed with
grainy photos arriving, so he has asked me to post some
Guidelines. Apparently, we are looking for photos
that match the qualities of this photo:

http://tinyurl.com/2nutk7

With an IDL book, instead of a mirror, covering the, uh,
naughty bits, of course.

Cheers,

David

Oh, my goodness. I hope you know what you started.
I can barely hear myself think above all the howling
going on!

You might mention to your lovely wife that it is probably
not a good idea to accept any small packages, labelled
"eau de Wild Game" and accompanied by a bouquet of Spring
flowers, until this blows over.

Coyote says that for a picture of a Dutch woman stretched
out on that bike, *he* will send a book, if I won't. ;-)

Send us a book and I'll get her to model it on the bike! ;-)

Sure, anything that "says" IDL will do. We will have
a special page for those people wearing their IDL

Finally, I have a face to put behind the name that has bailed me out
of many a troubles in IDL! And I believe it is a face that one can
easily grow fond of.

Alas, though, I have no IDL books to carry around. I wish my
bookseller would have it or I had a credit card to order with. But
what I have are the standard documentation books of IDL and ENVI. Do
they count? ;-) For, what I do have is a bicycle that carries me
around. Will that make me eligible to vie for some space on Dr.
Fanning's site?

I wish.
