Hi,

I tried this command on IDL 4.0 and PV-WAVE v6.01:
print, (complex(-1.1))^(1./3.)
IDL gives me the right answer: ( 0.516140, 0.893981)
But Wave gives an error message:
% Operation illegal with complex type.
% Execution halted at $MAIN$ .
How can I calculate a qubic root of negativ numbers with Wave in an easy
way?

Thanks, dieter

Please forward e-mail to me.
