Indeed the WHERE is superfluous! This one reduced the run time by
another half. Thanks indeed for your input.

Wow, I have come a long way from thinking that the BoxCar approach was
the only one that would be applicable in my case to this, five line
wondercode that achieves exactly the same thing in a miniscule
fraction of the time taken. This is why I am in love with this group.
