There are 2 answers to that question. The first is the superficial
one: the statement is simply assigning a string to the variable
called UVALUE. UVALUEs are commonly used in WIDGET routines.
The second answer is what the author is going to do with that UVALUE at a later
date. I can't answer that for certain, but I could hazard a guess:
- The stuff after the '@' could be an IDL statement which will be executed
later via the IDL EXECUTE() routine.
