IOstream in IDL? [message #60749] Thu, 05 June 2008 12:08

I am writing an IDL function called ACCODE. ACCODE takes four inputs
and uses them in a series of equations to produce three outputs and
plots of these outputs. So far everything is working really well. But
now I want the function to ask the user to make a guess for a value
midway through the code and then incorporate that guess in following
calculations. I know I could use an IOstream if I were coding in C++,
but how would I do this in IDL?

Appreciate any comments, thanks!
