Dear all,

I've got to wondering which 3rd party IDL libraries are the most
popular.

Perhaps people are using all sorts of great freely available code I am
yet to discover?

So, what routines/libraries do you make the most use of?

I use David's FSC_color.pro all the time. Picking out a color by name
is well useful.

I also find the JHUAPL routines for working with different time and
date formats exceedingly useful.
