I want to import a .shp file into IDL by Dialog_pickfile
(filter=’*.shp’) and access to 2 column of this file. Actually my .Shp
file is like this:

Downstrm_X Downstrm_Y Area_km2 Slope Drain_Dens Source_Den
531607,86415379 3406573,94616100 329,08361816 0,00615499 0,38340649
...........

I want to plot Log(Area)-Log(Slop) (column5&8) in Iplot and
original .Shp file in Imap (and some Lat-Lon data on it with red
circle label) with coordinates.
Any help greatly will be appreciated.
