To use overlay techniques we need a private colormap. We also
want to use the widgets and gadgets. But these seem to get their
colormap from the window manager. We can't figure out how to
control the window managers colormap (HP 735 under an Xterm
X11R5 ). We can force the window manager to use only our
colormap,but then the colors on the widgets are screwed up. One
programmer tried to load our own colormap by trial and error to
make the widgets look right. (You can't tell what color NUMBERs
they are assigned since this is done by name - 'DimGray' etc.)
But the exact colors and where they are in the colormap seem to
vary slightly depending on how the system is feeling.
Any ideas?
