hum... I guess it depends on the phase of the moon...
No, seriously, at times, having all the .bak, a few .sav, .doc etc is
more annoying than useful... but wasn't the workbench design to be more
user-friendly, allowing one to have the "development environment of your
dream"??? ;-)

Humm. I think the fact that you can see *all* the files
is the best thing about the Workbench. :-)

Cheers,

Hi all,

I am still struggling to have only the pro files displayed in the
project explorer... does anyone have the solution?

I'll say this. If you are looking for a consistent
(albeit occasionally maddening) interface for flopping
back and forth between UNIX and Windows machines, then
you could do worse than the IDL Workbench.

But, I'm looking forward to IDL 8.2, too. :-)

Cheers,

David

you mean like

"I'm pretty sure there is no going back, but if they don't
get the whole CNTL-C thing sorted out soon, "

OH OH! man, that was actually on my list of issues
that i would be worried about. Perhaps I should just
crawl back into my hole, and wait til IDL 8.2.

Cheers,
bob
