I go off for a couple of weeks and everything falls to pieces! While
a little belated I'd like to add my thanks for all you have done for
IDL and the IDL newsgroup these many years. I really think this is
one of the most pleasant nooks in all of the internet to work in, and
your leadership has been no small reason for this. I remember a few
years ago some idiot came into the group and started screaming insults
at you and others. Your humorous and non-antagonistic response
completely defused what could have -- and in most groups would have --
been an ugly exchange. Things aren't quite so friendly in the Java
newsgroups, but I hope to see you there nonetheless!
