Hi Folks,
Whoa! I accidently clicked on a JPEG file I had in a resources
directory in one of my IDL Workbench projects. As soon as I did
it, I expected all kinds of bad things to happen. But, what
happened instead, is that the JPEG file opened up in the editor
window, just as if I had clicked a *.pro file. And more than
that...when I click on the image tab, I get a whole lot of
buttons that allow me to perform various rudimentary image
processing tasks (Quick Fix, crop, etc.). Moreover, I have
new Menus in the menubar that includes an Image menu with
even more choices.
What is going on here? Is this part of Eclipse? Part of the
Workbench? What?
Cheers,
David

If you think that is impressive, on a windows machine with office
installed you can open up .doc's, .ppt's & xls's - all with related
menus!
Quite a nice bit of kit.

Hello,
Is there a stand-alone routine for reading an Excel file into a
structure (so it can be used within a program)?
Thanks,
