There is a library in C++ called boost::multi_array. This library
seems to be analogous to multidimensional IDL variables. I've written
some methods for casting boost::multi_array types to and from
IDL_Variables.
I'm in the business of pruning projects at the moment so I can
concentrate on documenting some core ones (like GDLffDICOM). I've
found IDL_Cast_Eg useful for my own projects, but I'm not sure it has
much wider use.

Has anyone done something similar or require this kind of
functionality?

The project can be downloaded by clicking on IDL_Cast_Eg at

http://barnett.id.au/idl/

Thanks

Robbie
