Hi folks,

I have recently made a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10, and I have found
to my surprise that Eclipse (idlde) and maybe other components of IDL
don't work at all (for instance, idldemo).

The solution is quite simple. Ubuntu comes with a standard C++ library
(libstdc++) with a major number of 6, while IDL needs the version with
a major number of 5. Just install it (for instance from Synaptic).

I hope no one else wastes more time than I did with this...
