I have a function to read an HDF file.

Reading a VDATA structure with HDF_VD_READ generates a warning message

%Warning: Mixed data types. Converting to BYTES.

presumably because the VDATA has both SHORTS and BYTES in it.

I don't have any problem dealing with the data, but is there any way
to turn off the warning message? (e.g., NCDF_CONTROL, /NOVERBOSE).

Thanks, Ken
