I'm sure that something like this,
for i = 0, n_points-1 do begin
oplot, [lon[i]], [lat[i]], psym=6, color=(temp[i]-MINTEMP)/
(MAXTEMP-MINTEMP)*255
endfor
will be a good place to start. You will have to play around with how
the color is calculated.
