Thanks for the tip, I will do that in the future. However the program,
at least run now (still not sure correctly though, but that's todays
problem) when I changed the variable type. Btw, does someone now if
there is a possibillity to debug the c-code when calling it from IDL

You might need to provide more information on what types you are
using.

In my own experience, I find it helpful to make test cases which are
written in C-only to be sure that the types are being resolved
correctly.

Well, I found out that I have to use IDL_INT as type in my C++-code to
get it working.
