Yes, it's called the Java Export Bridge (introduced in IDL 6.3). Check
the IDL Connectivity Bridges book in the documentation for more details.
It lets you create a Java interface to an IDL object.

I believe it requires a special license to create the Java interface
(but not to execute the code, so only the developer needs the special
license).
