Yesterday (Feb 8) morning, I was having trouble accessing a number of
sites in the gsfc.nasa.gov domain, e.g. Astronomy Picture of the Day,
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html

It was probably a temporary technical issue. Everything was back by
afternoon.
