Ok. I will admit to not understanding your question, but let me
suggest a possible solution to what "I think" is your question.
Does using /stereo instead of /azimuthal help?
Does supplying the /isotropic keyword help?

Somehow the first part of my posting was omitted:
I am trying to plot a polar data set using the MAP routines.
My data is in an 8 (angle) by 15 (radii) array. The call to MAP_IMAGE
described in the previous posting is using this data array, 'd'.
I hope that this clears up the my previous question.
