I don't know if it is possible or not. I just wouldn't

It based on Java:
http://bigwww.epfl.ch/thevenaz/turboreg/api/
and I hope I can run Java from IDL. If it not possible just let me
know...

What gives you reason to hope an ImageJ plug-in will
work in IDL?

Yes, now I'm using imageJ manually, but this is a part of a method,
most of it with IDL. I wish to make it fully automatic.
