Hi,
The IDL7 workbench is a real setback for me, but I guess its adapt or
die (or switch to python).
I'm starting with a simple task by converting all my gui .prc files to
workable .pro files. I understand many people on this groups despised
the old gui builder, but I loved not wasting time writing tedious
building code for constructing guis.
Thanks to this group, I've managed to configure the workbench into
something that doesn't occupy an unusable amount of screen real
estate, but theres one major irritation that I can't seem to find an
answer to:
Is it possible to turn hover help off? Unless I'm careful to place
the mouse somewhere safe, I constantly get yellow pop-up boxes
distracting my attention and blocking the screen with information I
don't need.
Normally I'd blame myself, but this workbench has so many annoying
quirks it would not surprise me if in fact hover help couldn't be
eliminated.
