We have an application which requires the identification
of 3D volumes (for exaple a spherical object, or a 3D gaussian
shape) inside 3D data cubes. Has anybody written any
code which allows one to carry out searches for
arbitrary but specifiable shaped and sized regions inside data cubes
We've obviously looked at the SEARCH3D function, but that
doesn't seen to have the sophistication needed to allow the
routine to determine both the location and size of the objects
it is required to seek out in 3D space. I can imagine that
codes of this kind may exist with someone who has worked on
tomographic analysis or in pattern recognition. Any help would
be appreciated.
Many thanks
