I am quite sure that you do not have this code in your IDL distribution.
There are user library procedures that are written in IDL that are
included in your distribution, but other "core" routines are written
in C, compiled into executable libraries, then sent along to you.

You do not have access to the source code, and if you did I am not
sure how you would link it in with the other IDL libraries.
