Well, I haven't seen the original post yet. I'm
afraid newsgroups ARE dead, and that we are all
going to have to learn to Twitter if we want to
keep up. :-(
I don't have time to look it up this morning, but
go get Liam Gumley's HDF routines if you want to
read HDF files. And, of course, if your HDF files
have scientific datasets inside them, you can browse
them (as well as read them) with the nCDF_Browser:
