I'm getting going with IDL 4.01 on a Mac PPC (8500/120 running 7.5.3rev2) and
I'm busy importing code I wrote for IDL on a UNIX workstation. I've found
that whereas on the UNIX machine I can change the lookup table with a
combination of STRETCH and TVLCT calls - it does not work on the MAC. The
simplest demo of this is to run XLOADCT and change the display settings -
nothing apparently changes on the displayed image window. You have to make
another TV call before the changes made are apparent.

Has anyone else seen this and have any idea how to fix it? The MAC device is
supposed to be modelled closely on the X device but this is a major handicap
and renders (sorry for the pun) useless a bunch of interactive analysis code
I've got.

Thanks in advance.
