I use PV-Wave to analyze geophysical data and often wish there were
a simple way to overlay AutoCad information such as rivers, roads,
buildings, etc., on top of a PV-Wave image such as produced by
image_cont. I have a quick-and-dirty filter that strips polylines
out of an AutoCad dxf file and writes a file I can overplot with
oplot. Unfortunately, I lose all text information as well as more
complicated graphical objects such as symbols, ellipses, circles, etc.

Has anyone written a more sophisticated filter? How about going the
other way: read a PV-Wave image into Acad v10? Any public domain
graphical editors that let me take an PV-Wave cgm or tiff file and
and text, lines, boxes, etc., would be useful as well, but I would
still have to recreate all the information in the AutoCad drawing.

Thanks!
