Free (time-limited trial) tool for using Python in your IDL code!

RIght now, you can get a free, trial version of Slither™, the IDL to
Python bridge, to “try before you buy.”  

This is a full Beta copy of the latest version of Slither, which
expires 31 July.  It is compatible with 32 and 64-bit operating
systems and Python 2.5.x and 2.6.x
