I've added a few IDL resources to my Web page at

- Using graphics frames,
- Displaying satellite data on a map projection,

If you're willing to travel a little outside NY, there's an
Intermediate Programming with IDL course scheduled Sep 19-21 in
Vienna, VA (just outside DC on the Orange line). I guarantee there
will be lots of programming.
