Anyone else experiencing this? We have a licensed IDL running on
IBM AIX, but when you try and start IDLtool from the IBM to display
on our suns, it inevitably crashes OpenWindows. (sunos 4.1.3)
Starting IDL itself, not IDLtool, doesn't produce any problesm.
Can't seem to find any reference to such bugs in the release notes.
IDL version is 4.0.1

I experienced such crashes, too. They tend to happen when I use BOTH
Netscape and IDL, using the widgets. Don't use the IDLtool.
I have a theory about the combination of two Motif applications, but didn't
verify it yet, because this only happens with SunOS 4.1.3, and not with
Solaris 2.x.
