Tech-X Corporation invites you to visit us at our booth (Booth #532)
at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting, December 14 - 18,
2009, in San Francisco.

We will be demonstrating the Remote Data Toolkit, which allows
seamless access to remote data with IDL.

We will also be demonstrating VORPAL, our highly-configurable
multiphysics simulation application for modeling the interaction of
matter with electromagnetic fields, and GPULib, our library of
mathematical kernels for GPU computing.

Please visit the Poster Hall on Monday, from 8:00AM – 12:20PM, where
Dr. David Fillmore will be discussing:
Session Title: A11C. Multisensor and Model Aerosol Data
Intercomparison and Integration I Posters
CERES-SARB Aerosol Dataset
D. W. Fillmore1
1. Tech-X Corporation, Boulder, CO, USA.

We describe a daily ten-year (2000 - present) aerosol analysis based
on
the assimilation of MODIS Collection V aerosol optical depth and the
aerosol transport model MATCH
(Model for Atmospheric Transport and Chemistry).
This model, in conjunction with MODIS,
will provide the aerosol fields for the CERES SARB
(Surface Atmosphere Radiation Budget)
Edition III surface and atmosphere radiative flux calculations.
Regional and global biases in the aerosol fields are assessed through
comparisons to AERONET and MISR derived aerosol optical depths.
We also examine the effects of the MODIS Deep Blue retrieval algorithm
on the analyzed aerosol fields.
