{x,y}size, scale_factor, and window size [message #69] Fri, 02 August 1991 08:34

PV-Wave 3.02, SunOS 4.1.1, SS2.

I have a window on the screen which I capture with a tvrd command into
a byte array. Then I change device to postscript and print the screen
image.

Can somebody explain to me the relationship between xsize, ysize, and
scale_factor, in the device command, and window size? It seems to me
that some strange non-linear relationship exists which makes it
impossible to predict the resulting postscript output size from a
given window size. It definitely doesn't seem to behave as the manual
says.
