I forgot that it was only in Fedora 12 that the 32 bit architecture
changed to i686. In F11, I see the package java-1.6.0-
openjdk-1.6.0.0-20.b14.fc11.i586.rpm in the Fedora repository. There
is also a Java 5 package, java-1.5.0-gcj-1.5.0.0-28.fc11.i586.rpm. The
Fedora Updates repository has java-1.6.0-
openjdk-1.6.0.0-30.b16.fc11.i586.rpm. I do not remember which one I
used for IDL.

Anyway, I should have said to look for whatever 32 bit java is present
on the distribution's repository, instead of quoting the name of a
specific package.
