I would like to use the in built VOIGT function in IDL 4.0.1 on Solaris 2 but for certain lorentzian and doppler halfwidths the function fails. Is there another algorithm that someone else has coded in IDL?

Another question: does anyone out there have code to convert from time and date to _observed_ solar zenith angle (ie with refraction) ??

Any help with either of these questions would be incredibly useful.
